Totem Ocean is dedicated to serving Alaska’s transportation needs and supporting those communities we serve. This dedication has fostered a special relationship with Alaskan and Seattle-Tacoma communities through participation in various charitable and non-profit organizations in the Anchorage, Fairbanks, Kenai, Seattle and Tacoma communities.
In both Anchorage and Fairbanks, Totem Ocean has a Community Advisory Board (CAB) consisting of a team of long-time Alaskans and community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise to assist with Totem Ocean’s corporate contributions program and impact the community’s awareness of Totem Ocean’s philanthropic philosophy and business ethics.
Totem Ocean donates thousands of dollars as well as in-kind contributions to qualifying non-profits in both Alaska and the Lower 48. Totem Ocean’s Seattle and Tacoma employees actively participate in charitable events including the MS Walk, the Diabetes Walk, and the 3-day Walk for Life benefiting breast cancer research. In Alaska Totem Ocean employees participate in the Seward Polar Bear Plunge to benefit the American Cancer Society, the United Way Day of Caring and the United Way Day of Caring food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Alaska. In addition, many of Totem Ocean’s employees serve on various non-profit boards.
