Dear TOTE Customer: 

Totem Ocean Trailer Express (TOTE) has filed to increase its ocean fuel surcharge as published in Item 345 of tariffs STB TOTE 100 and STB TOTE 201-A from 24.5% to 27%.  This filing was made with the Surface Transportation Board of the United States, and will become effective March 21, 2008.

As I’m sure you are aware, fuel prices have reached unprecedented levels and the trend seems likely to continue.  TOTE will continue to closely monitor vessel fuel costs and make further adjustments as appropriate.
