Customer Thanks
Most of our customers were aware that from Feb. 23 through March 15, TOTE’s two Orca Class vessels, the M.V. Midnight Sun and the M.V. North Star, were in drydock for their biennial scheduled maintenance. During this time period, TOTE’s Ponce Class vessel, the S.S. Great Land, took on the Friday night sailings.
Since the S.S. Great Land is a much smaller vessel, it was imperative that we coordinated very closely with the customer base to manage not only the cargo volumes, but to also be aware of the size and types of trailers being loaded. The scheduling of this event presented many challenges due the fact that cargo is typically on the upswing during February and March in preparation for Alaska’s spring season.
The two Orca Class vessels are now back in regular service.
We at TOTE wish to thank all of our customers for their assistance during this challenging period. Your willingness to assist and your understanding of the situation was exceptional. TOTE extends an extreme amount of gratitude to those impacted customers for their patience, communication, and responsiveness during this time. Our customers are a significant reason for the success of this drydocking period.
Once again, thank you for all your efforts and your continued support of our partnership.
